I was so happy when I received this movie in the mail. I have been waiting for a brand new episode of Veggie Tales for quite some time. Needless to say I was not disappointed as I popped this DVD into the player and say down to watch it with my kids.
Done in the likeness of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber embark on an adventure and lesson in helping others. Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry are enjoying life on the river. As the two are planning to open their new theme park and tax preparation service they encounter a stranger who is in need of their help. As the two agree to help this stranger they find that they may have signed up for more than they bargained for. The two are faced with a decision to continue helping the stranger and abandoning their hopes and dreams or leave the stranger high and dry to fend for himself. The two quickly find that helping others is not always the easiest thing to do.
As with all Veggie Tale episodes there is a brand new Silly Song (Disappointingly enough not call Silly Songs with Larry) entitled The Biscuit of Zazzamarandabo. Yes the song is as crazy as the title! Other bonus features include family activities, commentaries, bonus clips, a making Big River Rescue short and much, much more.
Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry’s Big River Rescue is a delightful DVD that is fun for the whole family. Big Idea truly is continually making episodes that have “Sunday morning values, (with) Saturday morning fun!” Whether you are a faithful follower of Veggie Tales or this is your first experience with them; Big River Rescue is a wonderful lesson in the importance of helping others, even when it may inconvenience you. Overall, this DVD is a must have for any family who wants quality entertainment that they can trust.
