Christina Applegate plays Samantha Newly the vice president of a Chicago Realty firm. Sam is not too well loved by her friends, peers and associates the problem is that she doesn’t know that she is hated by many because she has amnesia. After being struck by a car she fell into a coma and awoke eight days later with no memory of who she is. After she awakens from her coma Samantha finds that she has a dysfunctional family, a hedonistic best friend and a boyfriend whom she has no recollection.
Samantha Who? the complete first season contains all fifteen episodes, blooper reels, deleted scenes and audio commentary on two discs. Samantha Who? has garnered a lot of praise and was one of the most highest rated first season sitcoms and has been signed for a second season. Applegate does a great job playing the role of Samantha and has a fantastic supporting cast consisting of Jean Smart, Jennifer Esposito, Kevin Dunn and Barry Watson. Overall, Samantha Who? is a wonderful comedy that should have some longevity as long as they continue with this great story and fresh comedy week after week.
