Horatio and his team of Crime Scene Investigators are back with another heart stopping season of CSI Miami. One would think with the plethora of CSI shows out on the market (I wouldn’t be surprised if there was one CSI for every night of the week) that this franchise would start getting old and boring but it has become everything but that. Personally I like CSI Miami best out of the three; there is just something about this show that keeps me coming back week after week.
Season six picks up right where season five left off and is probably one of the tensest seasons yet. From the first episode where Horatio finds that the murder of a probation officer was committed by his son that he never knew he had to the suspenseful conclusion that leaves the viewer hanging about the potential fate of Horatio Caine. The season revolves around the new twist of Horatio’s son, his ex-lover and mother of his son. A number of episodes deal with the kidnapping of Calleigh and interspersed throughout the remaining episodes the team investigate the “usual” crime scenes around the city. Also included on this six-disc set are audio commentaries, Analyzing Season 6, Four-Sight: Directing CSI: Miami and much more.
All in all season six of CSI: Miami is a winner and a must have for any fan of this series. If you are not an avid viewer of the show then you may find yourself confused at times, but the show does a good job getting the viewer up to par. I would highly recommend this show to anyone who follows the show; if you are a casual watcher then I would stick with catching the re-runs or renting earlier seasons.
