Thankfully with the writers strike behind us evening television is getting back to it’s usual self. Having spent nearly four or so months watching nothing but re-runs and reality TV I am welcoming the new fall season. With the fall season on the horizon DVD companies are quickly releasing the previous seasons of shows one of which is the Third Season of Criminal Minds. Unfortunately I am a late comer to this show and having viewed the third season I really wish I would have watched it from the beginning.
Criminal Minds is a show about the F.B.I.’s BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit) division as they track some of the most perverse criminals across the country and try to stop these psychopath’s before they strike again. In season three the legendary David Rossi (one of the godfathers of the BAU) joins the team and tries to help get the team to solve some of its most dangerous cases ranging from a psychopath who targets women on a college campus, a child abducting aunt and uncle, to cannibalistic serial killers. Aside from the gripping storylines, what makes Criminal Minds a great show is the diverse and likeable supporting cast including Joe Mantegna, Thomas Gibson, Matthew Gray Gruber, Kristen Vangsness and the loveable Shemar Moore. Also included on this five disc set are deleted scenes, a gag reel, The making of Criminal Minds, Season three and much more.
Criminal Minds Season Three is a suspenseful and stimulating season which fans of the show are guaranteed to love. Being a “newbie” to the show I found I was able to pretty much jump right in and not be completely clueless as to what was going on with the show. With that said, I believe Season Three would appeal to anyone who likes a good psycho thriller style TV show. Whether you are a fan of the show or a newcomer, Criminal Minds The Third Season is a must for you.
