Big Yellow Sunflower

The Big Yellow Sunflower is about the planting of a seed and several animals come along and ask what the seed will be.  As each page is turned it becomes a giant round sunflower.

The story in this book is very basic and makes it readable as a story.  The engineering of the book is what really makes it standout.  As each page is flipped it opens at a slightly different angle so by the end the child is holding a large sunflower in their lap.  It is a new idea I have not seen done in this way before.  I would recommend this book’s content for preschool and up.  In order for the child to understand how the book functions they need to be older to do it by themselves.  If the book is not closed correctly the story will then be out of order.  It is a book which is worth taking a look.
