Beatrice has to accompany her big brother, Henry to the library for several days in a row. Henry is working on a report for school and Beatrice must keep quiet and out of trouble. For the first couple of days she bothers Henry and gets into trouble, but on the last day Henry takes her to storytime.  At storytime she discovers the wonderful world of books and reading. As Henry finishes his report Beatrice now wants to stay longer and now loves the library.

This is an “okay” book.  My younger children enjoyed it for their first reading, but have not asked for it since that point. It would be a good book to talk about libraries and expected behavior once there.  Beatrice is as cute as can be, but the book is not very exciting.
